JK Tyre to consider stock split

JK Tyre's board to consider sub-division of face value of `10 per share

New Delhi: JK Tyre & Industries Ltd is considering a stock split plan and its board will take up the matter on Thursday.

“A meeting of the board of directors of the company will be held on September 25, 2014, inter alia, for considering sub-division (split) of face value of 10 (per share) of the equity shares of the company," JK Tyre said in a filing to the BSE. It, however, did not share the details of the plan.

The company further said in order to prevent insider trading, the “trading window" for dealing in the equity shares of the company shall remain closed from 22-26 September, both days inclusive. This is in accordance with SEBI Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 1992 read with company’s code of conduct for prevention of insider trading.

As per information available on the BSE, the company has a total of 4,10,59,346 shares, out of which 47.34% is held by promoter group, while the public holding is 52.66%.

Shares of JK Tyre on Monday closed at 504.30, up 0.92% on the BSE.
