Lupin to replace Tata Power on BSE from 22 June
Among other changes, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd and Tata Motors DVR will be included in S&P BSE 100 in place of Adani Power Ltd
Mumbai: Pharmaceutical firm Lupin Ltd will be included in the benchmark S&P Sensex with effect from 22 June in place of Tata Power Co. Ltd, as per a statement issued by BSE Ltd. The changes are part of the semi-annual reconstitution of various indices of BSE, including the Sensex.
Among other changes, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd and Tata Motors DVR (differential voting rights) will be included in S&P BSE 100 in place of Adani Power Ltd. This is the first time that a DVR is being included in a BSE index.
The broader index S&P BSE 200 would see the inclusion of Ajanta Pharma Ltd, Suzlon Energy Ltd, Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd, NCC Ltd and the Tata Motors DVR. The stocks that would be excluded are Sanofi India Ltd, Hindustan Copper Ltd, Amtek Auto Ltd and Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd.
The other indices that have been reconstituted are S&P BSE Carbonex, S&P BSE 500, S&P BSE Bankex and S&P BSE Technology index, as per the BSE statement.
