BackRBI gets $22.7 bn in forex under special swap windows

Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has raised $22.7 billion under the special foreign currency non-resident (bank)—FCNR (B)—deposit and overseas foreign currency borrowing window as on 20 November, a central bank release said on Wednesday.
The scheme was announced on 4 September to attract foreign dollar inflows after the rupee plummeted to a record low of Rs68.85 per dollar in August. The window will close on 30 November.
