Crisil Research estimates that the micro-market of South 24 Parganas to account for about 16% of the total upcoming supply in Kolkata. South 24 Parganas, located on the eastern side of the Hooghly River, is the second most populated district in the Kolkata Metropolitan Area (KMA). The micro-market comprises areas such as Narendrapur, Sonarpur, Rajpur and Baruipur, and is well-connected to other parts of the KMA through the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road and the EM Bypass. Demand for residential units here is primarily end-user driven. Social infrastructure in the form of educational institutes, hospitals, organised retail and hotels is limited.
