The region in and around Chakan accounts for nearly 12% of the total planned supply in Pune
Crisil Research has divided the Pune Urban Agglomeration (PUA) into 13 micro markets. Located towards northwest Pune, the region in and around Chakan comprises residential projects in Talegaon, Alandi Road, Chikhali, Dighi, and Landewadi apart from Chakan and accounts for nearly 12% of the total planned supply in PUA. Falling under the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, this region is known for being the auto/auto ancillary belt of the PUA. While housing demand in this region is primarily driven by the people employed in the auto industry, a segment of demand also comes from people working in the information technology (IT)/IT-enabled services companies in Baner and Hinjewadi seeking low-cost housing options.
