Mumbai: Shares of Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd fell for the second consecutive day as the company will be deleted from the MSCI Global Standard Index from 26 November, MSCI said on its website.

The stock fell as much as 4.3% to 136.05. In the last two days the stock has weakened 7%.

On 21 November the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) put restrictions on further purchases of shares of the company by foreign investors.

The scrip closed 2.08% lower at 139.20 apiece, while the Sensex lost 0.57% to 28,338.05 points.
