Photographs: Priyanka Parashar/Mint 2/10The recipe as written by the writer’s mother in her journal. 3/10Pour the All-Bran cereal in a large bowl 4/10Add sugar and raisins into the bowl 5/10Pour milk into the mixture. 6/10Stir well, cover and leave to soak overnight (you could also just leave them for an hour or so). 7/10In the morning, preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius and grease a 20x7cm loaf tin. Beat the egg and then add it to the soaked ingredients. 8/10Add the sifted flour and baking powder. 9/10Bake at 190 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes, then reduce to 180 degrees Celsius for another 20 minutes. Leave to cool and then slice. 10/10The loaf keeps well in a tin for a few days.
