Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos believes the revised peace deal struck between the government and the guerrillas in November—after the earlier one was rejected in a popular vote—is an inclusive agreement that marks the beginning of a historic process of reconciliation. The main challenge for the Nobel Peace Prize winner now will be to unite the country and coordinate the government and the entire state in order to implement the peace deal. Excerpts from an interview follow.
