As reported in Mint today, Pakistan’s foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar has equated the 26/11 Mumbai attacks with the breaking away of East Pakistan in 1971. Her counsel to India was simple: don’t be emotional about the 2008 attacks.

These are strange, almost schizophrenic developments. On the one hand, India continues to complain loudly about lack of progress in the investigation of the Mumbai attacks; on the other hand, it’s not averse to proceeding ahead with normalization of ties.
