Delhi tops liveability index, Mumbai No. 2

New Delhi: Delhi outscores the other major metropolitan cities in quality of life according to the CII-IFC Liveability Index 2010.

The study, conducted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Institute for Competitiveness, India , (CFC), is a rating of 37 cities on factors such as demographics, education, medical standards, safety and housing.

Mumbai ranks second, followed by Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, while Lucknow, Patna, Visakhapatnam and Jamshedpur are ranked lowest.

Bangalore, Bhubaneswar and Chandigarh provide the best housing options.
