New Delhi: Profits of Jet Airways have climbed but the airline is not quite soaring. It reported an 11% increase in net profits for the fourth quarter to Rs59 crore. And its sales went up 15% to Rs2,600 crore.

Food inflation has accelerated for a second consecutive week. The food price index climbed 16.49% in the period to 8 May. That’s just a notch higher than the previous week’s rise of 16.44%.

Indian stocks nudged upwards on Thursday after massive losses the previous days. The Sensex finished with a gain of 111 points at 16,520. And the Nifty went up 28 points to end at 4,948.
