New Delhi: With marginal fall in fuel, power and non-metallic mineral prices, inflation came down to 3.32% for the week ended 8 September, against 3.52% previous week.
In comparison, the wholesale price-based inflation stood at 5.22% as on 9 September 2006.
However, prices of primary articles, which includes major food and non-food items, rose by 0.2% during the week, according to official data released today.
The food articles group rose by 0.2% due to higher prices of fruits and vegetables, condiments and spices, barley and wheat (1% each).
The index of manufactured products, which has a 63.75% weight in the wholesale price index, rose by 0.2%.
The rate of inflation has been revised from 4.41% to 4.76% for the week ended 14 July 2007.
