Security was beefed up on two Air India morning flights on Friday after an anonymous threat.
An Air India official who declined to be named said security agencies sounded an alert after an anonymous letter to the Airports Authority of India warned that flights would be targeted.
These alerts were for late evening flights between Ahmedabad and Mumbai on Friday and early morning flights between Mumbai and Kochi on Saturday.
“All the steps have been taken," the Air India official said. “We are taking adequate care that the passengers of these flights are not hassled."
