Tejinder Singh withdraws plea against Army chief
New Delhi: Former defence intelligence agency chief Tejinder Singh on Thursday withdrew his petition filed in the Supreme Court against army chief V.K. Singh.
“We are getting move evidence in this case from former army officers who are making similar allegations. So we have withdrawn the case temporarily. We will again approach the Supreme Court within the next few days," said Anil Aggarwal, Tejinder Singh’s lawyer.
A Delhi court last heard Tejinder’s defamation suit against the army chief on 8 May. The next hearing in that case is on 14 May.
Another case of a similar nature filed by Tejinder Singh in the Delhi high court against the government comes up for hearing on 24 May.
