Reliance Telecom denies breaching telecom guidelines, says shareholding in Swan Telecom within prescribed limits

New Delhi: Reliance Telecom told Delhi Court that it did not breach any guidelines and its shareholding in Swan Telecom was within prescribed limits when mobile permits were granted to new telcos in 2008. The company’s counsel told the CBI special Court that Reliance Telecom did not hold substantial equity in Swan directly or through an associate and hence had not committed any offence. (read story)

Swan Telecom not our associate: Reliance Telecom

New Delhi: Reliance ADA Group company Reliance Telecom on Wednesday told a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court hearing the 2G spectrum scam that Swan Telecom was not its “associate" company, and that it had divested its minor stake-holding of 9.1 per cent even before universal access service (UAS) licences were issued to Swan.
