UPSC says it won’t send paper call letters to candidates for interview round
Civil service exam candidates will have to download e-summons from Union Public Service Commission's website some days before the interview round
New Delhi: No paper call letters for interviews will be issued to candidates who have cleared civil services main examination and they will instead have to download e-summons, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has said.
Thousands of students appear for the civil services examination conducted annually by the UPSC to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
The examination is conducted in three stages—preliminary, main and personality test or interview.
The personality test for candidates is likely to start from 8 March, the UPSC said in a statement. “No paper summon letters will be issued for the personality test or interview by the Commission," it said.
All candidates who have cleared the civil services main examination have been asked to download e-summon letters from the UPSC website. They should immediately inform the commission if they are unable to download it at least five days before the interview, the UPSC said. PTI
