Former judge joins as new CLB chairman
New Delhi: Dilip Rao Saheb Deshmukh, joined the Company Law Board (CLB) as its chairman on Friday.
Deshmukh, a retired judge from the Chhattisgarh high court, joined four days ahead of schedule as R. Vasudevan, acting chairman, was arrested on alleged charges of corruption on Tuesday. CLB’s Delhi bench was vacant since then. CLB, a quasi-judicial body that looks into disputes within and between companies, has around 2,800 cases pending before it.
