The low pressure area in eastern part of Gujarat has moved to the southern part, thus rain is expected to decrease in east Gujarat, west Madhya Pradesh and east Rajasthan during the next two days. The weather system will give rain but that will be confined to coastal Gujarat and north coastal Maharashtra. In the commercial capital Mumbai, light rain is expected on Friday but will reduce thereafter.

In Andhra Pradesh, rain is expected to increase over Telangana and north coastal areas as the area is hosting a cyclonic circulation. This weather system will be fed by southeasterly winds. Rain, thundershowers and lightning will continue to occur in the area during the next two days.

Rain will remain subdued in other parts of the southern Peninsula during the period.

The northwest plains over Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Delhi will be partly cloudy, but, with possibility of scattered rain at one or two places. A short trough is seen from north Madhya Pradesh to Delhi and region.

The weather in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh will remain clear with slight rise in temperatures. A change is expected on 13-14 October when the cyclone Phailin in the Bay will move to Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand after making a landfall on 12 October along the Odisha coast.

The northeastern part of India will continue to witness dry weather with clear sunny skies. Temperatures will rise in the region. Winds will blow from the northeast direction keeping humidity levels under check.
