New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday asked the members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to work for a 360 degree growth of the party and promised the people of northeast that National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would work for the development of the people.

With the spectacular victories of BJP-NDA in Tripura and Nagaland, Modi cautioned his party workers not to let the political culture of Congress in the party. “I have always said that the love and blessings of the people showered on me will be returned with interest, the interest is development," said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday when he reached the BJP headquarters to celebrate the electoral victory of the party.

During his victory speech to party workers, Modi said that propaganda and fear were two weapons of the Left ideology but it was the strength of the democracy to vote against violence. “BJP has lost several workers who sacrificed themselves for the ideology of the party. The journey is from ‘no one to won’. When the sun sets, its colour is red but when the sun rises its colour is saffron," said Modi in his speech.

Modi said that the culture of political violence was growing in the country and members of the BJP were facing attacks in Tripura, Karnataka, West Bengal, Kerala and Odisha.

While thanking the people of Tripura, Nagaland and Meghalaya for the electoral support, Modi said that people of northeast have often complained that they are too far from Delhi.

“The government is trying to remove the feeling of alienation of the people of northeast. People of northeast often say that they are too far from Delhi, but we have decided to take Delhi to their doorstep. Every 15 days a union minister travels to northeast and spends one day with the people of the state," added Modi.
