New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted journalist Tarun Tejpal an interim bail till 27 June.
Founding editor of Tehelka magazine, Tejpal was in a Goa jail since 30 November. He has been charged with rape and sexual harassment.
Tejpal had applied for an extension of the interim bail to attend a ceremony to be held after his mother’s death.
Earlier, the apex court had granted Tejpal a bail for three weeks to attend his mother’s funeral. He couldn’t attend the same because of “red tape", said lawyer Salman Khurshid, who represented Tejpal in court.
