New Delhi: Telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday invited US companies to set up manufacturing units in India.

Prasad said US companies can manufacture in India not only for Indians but also for exports.

“They will get all the benefits available for Indian companies operating in India," Prasad said at the India-US dialogue organized by the Observer Research Foundation and Network 18 in New Delhi. “We have got a lot of incentives available. If you invest $100, we will give you $25," he said.

The other important issue, Prasad said, is increasing IT trade between the world’s two biggest democracies.

“We want US companies to explore the new excitement and trust the new leadership," he said.
