New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday rejected the bail pleas of AAP MLAs Prakash Jarwal and Amanatullah Khan who are currently lodged in the Tihar Jail.
The AAP members of legislative assembly were arrested by the police last week on charges of assaulting the Delhi chief secretary Anshu Prakash during a meeting at the chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence on the intervening night of 18-19 February.
According to ANI, the Tees Hazari court has dismissed the bail pleas of Prakash Jarwal and Amanatullah Khan.
Following the attack on the top official, the AAP government in Delhi has been at the receiving end from the political parties and bureaucrats from across the country. Both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress have sought the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal.
