CBI chargesheet against Isro chief Madhavan Nair on Antrix-Devas case

A lower court in Delhi is set to consider a chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against former Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) chief Madhavan Nair and eight others on the count of cheating, under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The CBI filed the chargesheet on 11 August. The senior officials have been accused of facilitating a wrongful gain of 578 crore to Devas by Antrix, the commercial arm of Isro. Read more

The Delhi high court is set to hear pleas from two BSES discoms seeking a direction to the Delhi government to declare electricity distribution an essential service.
