New Delhi: Solicitor general of India Rohinton F. Nariman has resigned allegedly because of differences with law minister Ashwini Kumar, a person familiar with the development said.
Nariman, 55, son of jurist Fali S. Nariman, replaced Gopal Subramaniam at the post in July 2011. Subramaniam resigned when he had two more years at the post, protesting against Nariman’s appointment as special government counsel in the second-generation spectrum allocation case. Neither Nariman nor Kumar could be immediately reached.
