New Delhi: The government has cleared two regional airlines in its first month, minister of state for aviation G.M. Siddeshwara told the parliament on Monday.

Air Carnival, based in South India, and Zav Airways, which will cater to the east and north-eastern regions, were approved on 24 June and 30 June, respectively, he said.

There is no pending application to start a regional airline out of Kerala, he added.
