On the one hand, they have seen rising interest rates increasing the cost of raising funds, and on the other, they are facing a squeeze in cheaper and alternative sources of credit from overseas markets.

Not surprisingly, this has resulted in a fall in investment levels in the economy, with obvious implications on growth.
