Tathagata Satpathy, the journalist and son of former Odisha chief minister Nandini Satpathy is running for re-election from Dhenkanal constituency in Odisha on a Biju Janata Dal ticket.

The editor of the Oriya daily Dharitri, Satpathy, along with his wife Adyasha controls Dharitri Infotainment Pvt. Ltd, Navajat Printers and Media Pvt. Ltd and Rosambi Pvt. Ltd. Adyasha also owns a stake in Reliance Wires Pvt. Ltd.

Satpathy did not respond to a detailed questionnaire emailed to him, and Mint could not ascertain the exact nature of businesses done by these companies.
