Travelling in Dwarka becomes easier
As of now there are 25 such rickshaws which are maintained by Green Wheels India. The company receives ₹ 100 a day from each rickshaw driver in return for free maintenance and service for three years. At the end of three years if all payments are made and the deposit of ₹ 5000 is paid the drivers can own the rickshaw. This deal is matter of concern for those who still drive cycle rickshaws. Most don’t have enough money for the deposit and ₹ 100 a day as against ₹ 30 they pay now is more than they can afford.
For commuters the ride is comfortable since the primary mode of transport in Dwarka is a rickshaw. The roof holds back the sun and the seats are cushioned. The commute is faster and costs the same as a regular rickshaw.
