New Delhi: First day of the Monsoon Session beginning on Monday is likely to be adjourned after an obituary reference to Dalpat Singh Paraste, Lok Sabha MP from Shahdol in Madhya Pradesh who passed away on 1 June.
Five-term MP Paraste (66) had suffered a brain haemorrhage while he was attending a public function and passed away at a private medical hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
As per established norms, the House usually adjourns for the day after paying tributes to the departed member who has died either during the inter-session period or during the session itself.
