Donald Trump said he would block the proposed AT&T Inc.-Time Warner Inc. tie-up, arguing that such combinations leave too much power concentrated among too few companies, including ones which have been hostile to his presidential bid.

The Republican commented on the potential deal, which hasn’t yet been reached, during a speech in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on Saturday that was billed as an unveiling of Trump’s “contract with the voter" but consisted mostly of themes and policies outlined earlier in the campaign.

Trump also suggested he would favor a break up of NBC and Comcast Corp., a merger which was completed in 2013. Such tie-ups, he said, are a “poison" to democracy and result in companies “telling the voters what to think and what to do." Trump didn’t discuss mergers among non-media companies.

The billionaire real estate developer focused on the AT&T deal as part of a 14-minute wind-up to the policy speech. He reiterated complaints that the Nov. 8 election is being “rigged" by “dishonest mainstream media" in favor of Democrat Hillary Clinton, by reporting on what he said were lies and not talking about the “massive crowd size" at his rallies.

“They’re trying desperately to suppress my vote and the power of the American people," Trump said.

All of the women who have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct during the past few weeks -- 10 at the most recent count -- have “lied" to hurt his campaign, Trump said, adding “all of the liars will be sued after the election."

Among the policy proposals, Trump reaffirmed his pledge to build a wall on the U.S. border with Mexico and said he would propose legislation to fund it.

The proposed “End Illegal Immigration Act" would fund the construction of the wall “with the full understanding" that Mexico will reimburse the U.S., according to a fact sheet released by Trump’s campaign. Bloomberg
