No evidence Unitech Wireless bribed A Raja, says CBI; but company was ineligible for telecom licence

New Delhi: The country’s federal investigating agency has told the special court it has no evidence that Unitech Wireless, which has been charged with cheating, criminal conspiracy and forgery in the 2G spectrum scam, paid bribes to former telecom minister A Raja. Public prosecutor UU Lalit told the court there was no evidence of a "quid-pro-quo or a money trail" between Unitech Wireless and Raja. (read story)
