Mumbai: As part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) strategy to corner the Congress over disruptions of Parliament, the Maharashtra unit of the party will hold protest marches and demonstrations at district headquarters across the state on 16 August.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “During their tenure, the Congress did not do anything to take the nation forward and when we are trying to do so, they are causing disruption in Parliament and are not allowing bills like the goods and services tax (GST) to get passed. It seems the Congress has not able to digest the fact that they have lost power."

By holding demonstrations and marches, the BJP will expose the Congress before the people, Fadnavis said.
