Jyoti Mirdha Gehlaut, the Congress member of Parliament from Nagaur in Rajasthan is vying for re-election from the same seat. Data from the Registrar of Companies shows the Gehlaut family has wide-ranging interests in several sectors from real estate and power to media and housing finance.

Gehlaut, along with husband Narendra, has stakes in companies including Agni Television Pvt. Ltd, Revealing Hour Creations Pvt. Ltd, Revati Infrastructure Ltd, Hasta Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd and Mackennas Minerals Pvt. Ltd.

Her husband, along with other members of the Gehlaut family, including his brother Sameer, father Balwan Singh and mother Krishna Gehlawat, has stakes in companies, including those in the Indiabulls Group—Indiabulls Infrastructure and Power Ltd, Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd and Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd.

Other companies controlled by the family include Eternal Projects Pvt. Ltd, Spring River Estates Pvt. Ltd, Shrey Properties Pvt. Ltd, Dhanishtha Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd, Pinus Constructions Pvt. Ltd and Rumex Estates Pvt. Ltd. Several companies controlled by the Gehlaut family have cross-holdings among themselves.

Jyoti’s sister Hemsweta Mirdha is married to Deepender Hooda, the son of Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Jyoti did not respond to a questionnaire emailed to her.
