1. Dhoni steps down as captain

Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Wednesday relinquished charge as captain of India’s One Day International and T20 cricket teams. He had already stepped aside as Test captain in 2014. He also captained India’s T20 team in 72 matches, winning 41, and losing 28. There is not too much of a comparison there since all other T20 captains headed India in three or fewer matches. He led India in 199 ODIs. His win/loss ratio was 1.49. This is higher than almost everyone in the top ten list by number of matches captained. The only exception is Virat Kohli. He has a win/loss ratio of 4.67 from his 17 matches. Kohli has been appointed captain after Dhoni.
