Priced at ₹12.69 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai), the Harrier is set to take on the likes of XUV 500, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta and even Hyundai Tucson. 1/8Built around Tata's Impact Design 2.0 at the company's new manufacturing line at the Pune facility, the five-seater SUV has a lot of the design features from the concept car, H5X that was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. 2/8The Harrier is based on the Omega architecture, which is derived from Land Rover's D8 platform found in the Discovery Sport. 3/8The Harrier is powered by 2.0-litre diesel Kryotec engine sourced from Fiat that produces 140 hp of power and 350Nm of torque. 4/8The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission that transfers the power to the front wheels. Tata is currently not offering the Harrier with four-wheel drive but it does get multiple off-road modes that can be selected via a circular knob on the centre console. 5/8Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, a hill-hold and descent function, corner stability control and a rollover mitigation system. 6/8The Harrier has a boot capacity of 425-litres and a fuel tank capacity of 50 litres. 7/8Coming to the features, the top-spec Harrier XZ comes loaded with goodies such as an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, another screen spanning 7.0-inches for the part-digital instrument cluster, a JBL sound system, reverse camera, automatic headlights and wipers, automatic climate control and cruise control 8/8The Harrier measures 4,598mm in length, 1,894mm in width, 1,706mm in height and has a 2,741mm-long wheelbase. Ground clearance is pegged at 205mm.
