2023 Mercedes-AMG A45 S4MATIC+ debuts in India: Details on price and features

Mercedes-Benz has launched the 2023 Mercedes-AMG A45 S4MATIC+ in India. The 2023 model is the company’s first major update to the hatchback since it was first introduced in 2021. The 2023 Mercedes-AMG A45 S4MATIC+ is priced at ₹92.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The updated Mercedes-AMG A45 S4MATIC+ hatchback is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. The hatchback is claimed to deliver 306bhp power output and 400Nm of peak torque. Buyers can also opt for mild-hybrid system which is said to offer an additional power of 13bhp. 

Engine on the Mercedes-AMG A45 S4MATIC+ hatchback is paired with an eight-speed AMG speedshift transmission with 4MATIC AWD technology and AMG torque control.

Inside, the hatchback comes with dual displays with Alcantara interiors, power seats, power IRVM, AMG badging in the dashboard and centre console. 

The car also features AMG embossed into the headrests. The company has also added capacitive touch controls for the steering. The infotainment system on 2023 Mercedes-AMG A45 S4MATIC+ comes with support for Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. The updated model is claimed to offer 20 per cent faster charging via USB port as compared to the previous model.

In terms of exterior design, the 2023 Mercedes-AMG A45 S4MATIC+ comes with a AMG Crest on the front badge. It also features an enhanced headlamps design along with an AMG-specific radiator design. 

The new Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ embodies individual sportiness with pronounced "shark nose", the sharply cut new headlamps and the bonnet with powerdomes and AMG emblem that sets the dynamic tone.

For safety, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ hatchback comes with active lane keeping assist, active brake assist, knee airbag, reversing camera and active parking assist.
