BMW unleashes the power-packed M2 Coupe in India: A true performance marvel at ₹98 lakh
BMW has launched the M2 coupe in India, priced at ₹98 lakh (ex-showroom), as a Completely-Built Unit. The sports car is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder petrol engine, producing 453 hp and a peak torque of 550 Nm, and can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds.

The compact but high-performance sports car will be sold in India as a Completely-Built Unit (CBU), indicating that it will be imported in its entirety. The M2 variant from the renowned German automaker comes with an automatic transmission and is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder petrol engine.
The BMW M2 is an exhilarating sports car with two doors and seating for four people, available at a price below ₹one crore. Its outstanding feature lies in its exceptional on-road performance. The engine boasts an impressive power output of 453 hp and a peak torque of 550 Nm. With a remarkable acceleration, this sports car can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds. Additionally, the M Driver's Package further enhances the car's performance, offering an electronically limited top speed of up to 285 kmph.
In all variants of the BMW M2, the transmission is managed by BMW's standard eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox. The M2 provides three selectable drive modes that can be customized according to preferences: comfort, sports, and track. Additionally, the engine performance can be adjusted using modes such as Efficient, Sport, and Sport Plus.
The BMW M2 features the carmaker's modern kidney grille design with horizontal slats, situated above a three-part front apron. This grille design not only adds to the aesthetic appeal but also facilitates cooling for different powertrain elements and the brakes. At the rear, the new BMW M2 showcases a striking bumper, a dynamic diffuser, and four exhaust pipes, exuding a sporty appearance. The vehicle is equipped with 19/20-inch alloy wheels, completing its captivating look.
Inside the car, the BMW M2 offers a sporty cabin adorned with M badging and various sport-oriented elements. One of the standout features is the dual curved display that incorporates a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment screen. This dual display setup serves as a major highlight of the interior.
When it comes to safety, the BMW M2 is equipped with a comprehensive range of features. These include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Automatic Stability Control (ASC), M Dynamic Mode (MDM), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dry Braking function, and Active M Differential.
