The Ducati Panigale V4 R has debuted in the Indian market with a price tag of 69.90 lakh ex-showroom, India. Customers can now make bookings for the motorcycle at any Ducati dealership.

Interestingly, the initial batch of five bikes has arrived in India and has been completely sold out, with deliveries starting immediately. This launch is part of Ducati's lineup of new releases for 2023. The Panigale V4 R is an enhanced version of the standard Panigale V4, featuring various mechanical improvements and a fresh design.

At the core of the Panigale V4 R lies the recently developed 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine. In the sixth gear, it can reach an impressive redline of 16,500 rpm, while in the remaining gears, the redline is limited to 16,000 rpm. This powerful engine can generate 215 bhp at 15,500 rpm and achieve a peak torque of 111.3 Nm at 12,000 rpm. Paired with a six-speed gearbox equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter, the engine delivers an exceptional performance.

When outfitted with the complete racing exhaust system, the Panigale V4 R experiences a power surge, resulting in an enhanced output of 233 bhp at 15,500 rpm, while the peak torque is raised to 118 Nm at 12,250 rpm. Additionally, the racing exhaust contributes to a reduction in the dry weight of the motorcycle from 172 kg to 167 kg.

The Ducati Panigale V4 R features fully adjustable suspension, with 43mm Ohlins NPX 25/30 front forks and an Ohlins TTX 36 rear mono-shock handling the suspension duties. To ensure reliable braking performance, the motorcycle is equipped with twin 320 mm front discs paired with Brembo Monobloc Stylema M4.30 calipers, which consist of four pistons. At the rear, there is a 245mm single rotor accompanied by a two-piston caliper.

Speaking of features, the Panigale V4 R offers a comprehensive range of electronic features. These include Traction Control, Ride by Wire, Riding Modes, Engine Brake Control, Power modes, cornering ABS, launch control, wheelie control, slide control, and many other advanced functionalities. The motorcycle also comes with a TFT screen that provides convenient access to control and manage various aspects of the bike.
