Honda Elevate SUV launched, bookings start in July; Specifications, price and other key details
Honda Elevate SUV unveiled in India, with bookings opening in July 2023. The SUV will compete against Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, and others. It has a 1.5-litre petrol engine, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an ADAS suite.
Honda Cars India took the wraps off its latest SUV offering - Honda Elevate in the country today. The SUV was showcased at global launch organised in the county. Bookings for Honda Elevate SUV will open in July 2023. While the SUV will officially launch before the festive season where the company will announce its price.
Honda Elevate will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
Honda Elevate design
On the exterior, Honda Elevate has a design representative of ‘power and confidence’. The SUV has a sharp front profile with a large black radiator grille and chunky flat face. There are crisp headlines at the front with intergrated LED daylight running lights (DRLs). The front also features L-shaped LED tail lights.
The SUV sits on dual-tone alloy wheels. It measures 4,312mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,650mm in height. Honda Elevate SUV offers a ground clearance of 220 mm and has a 458-litre boot capacity.
Inside, Honda Elevate comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment centre with wireless smartphone integration technology. It has a three-spoke steering wheel and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The dashboard has a cleaner design.
Honda Elevate powertrain
Honda Elevate is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with the ability to produce 119bhp of maximum power at 6,600 rpm and peak torque of 145Nm at 4,300 rpm. Engine on the micro SUV comes paired with a six-speed manual or a CVT transmission.
On the safety front, Elevate SUV boasts of an ADAS suite with features like Collision Mitigation Braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, road departure warning and automatic high beam assist.
At the launch event, Honda said that it plans to launch five new SUVs, including a fully electric model, in India by 2030. "Including the Elevate, we are planning to launch five SUVs by 2030. So that's our pipeline now," Honda Cars India President & CEO Takuya Tsumura told PTI in an interview.
