Hyundai Exter rear design revealed, to feature a prominent rear skid plate

Hyundai India will unveil its next SUV - Hyundai Exter in the country on July 10. The auto manufacturer has been teasing features of the upcoming SUV via its social media channels. In a latest, Hyundai has revealed the rear design of Exter SUV.
“The attractive design philosophy of the #HyundaiEXTER continues at the rear too. This SUV's bold looks along with a prominent rear skid plate will surely make heads turn.
Think outside. Think EXTER," reads a tweet from Hyundai India sharing a teaser image showcasing the SUV’s rear profile. One can see a wide back panel connecting the taillights and a prominent skid plate towards the bottom.
Hyundai Exter will come in 5 trim options – EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect. The SUV will be offered in three powertrain options - 1.2 l Kappa Petrol engine (E20 Fuel Ready) available with 5-speed manual transmission (5MT) and Smart Auto AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) and 1.2 l Bi-fuel Kappa petrol with CNG engine equipped with 5-speed Manual transmission. Hyundai says that all powertrains are tuned to deliver consistent performance in diverse conditions and will ensure a delightful driving experience.
The upcoming Hyundai SUV will be equipped with a prominent looking parametric front grille. The design is amplified with H-Signature LED DRLs, projector headlamps and sporty skid plate. There is a unique EXTER emblem on the front.
Hyundai Exter will come with diamond cut alloy wheels housed in blacked out wheel arches & side sill cladding. The SUV also features a floating roof design which is further enhanced with parametric design C-pillar garnish and sporty bridge type roof rails.
Hyundai Exter is said to be the country’s first sub 4-meter SUV to come equipped with 6 airbags (Driver, Passenger, Curtain & Side) as standard across all trims. Inside, the SUV comes with dashcam featuring dual camera that boasts of front and rear camera, a 2.31-inch LCD display, along with smartphone app based connectivity and multiple recording modes.
