PremiumHyundai India will finally launch the Exter SUV in the country tomorrow. The SUV will be revealed via an event scheduled for 12pm on July 10. The event will be telecasted live via the company’s official YouTube channel.
Ahead of the launch, Hyundai India has confirmed the majority of features that will be available on the Hyundai Exter. As revealed by the auto manufacturer, the Exter SUV will come in six single-tone and three dual-tone color options including Cosmic Blue and Ranger Khaki. Hyundai Exter SUV bookings
Bookings of the Hyundai Exter SUV are currently open. Those interested can pre book the upcoming SUV by paying a token amount of ₹11,000. It can be pre-booked offline via Hyundai dealerships across the country as well as online via the auto manufacturer’s ‘Click to Buy’ platform.
Hyundai Exter SUV powertrain
Hyundai Exter SUV will be offered in 5 trim options – EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect. It will be equipped with 3 powertrain options - 1.2 l Kappa Petrol engine (E20 Fuel Ready) available with 5-speed manual transmission (5MT) and Smart Auto AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) and 1.2 l Bi-fuel Kappa petrol with CNG engine equipped with 5-speed Manual transmission. The company claims that all powertrains are tuned to deliver consistent performance in diverse conditions and will ensure a delightful driving experience.

The auto maker has also revealed details about the SUV’s interior design. As teased, Hyundai Exter will be equipped with an 8-inch HD touchscreen and an advanced digital cluster with 4.2-inch colour TFT MID along with Hyundai Bluelink. The infotainment unit will feature an in-built navigation and smartphone connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The digital cluster will host information related to drive statistics, TPMS (highline), Parking Distance, Door Open, Sunroof Open, 10 Regional + 2 Global languages as well as seatbelt reminder display for all seats. The SUV will offer more than 60 connected features.
Hyundai Exter SUV safety features
Hyundai claims that the Exter SUV will be equipped with first-in segment features like ESC (Electronic Stability Control), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management) and HAC (Hill Assist Control). Hyundai Exter will also boast of 3-Point Seat Belt & seatbelt reminder (all seats), Keyless Entry, ABS with EBD, Rear Parking Sensors, ESS, Burglar Alarm among others.
The SUV will boast of 40 advanced safety features including Headlamp Escort function, Auto Headlamps, ISOFIX, Rear Defogger and Rear Parking Camera. Additionally, Hyundai EXTER offers Segment First safety features such as Dashcam with dual camera, TPMS (Highline) and Burglar Alarm.
