Hyundai registers 5 pc rise in sales in June at 65,601 units
Hyundai Motor India reported a 5% increase in total wholesales to 65,601 units in June 2023. Domestic sales rose 2% to 50,001 units, while exports rose 17% to 15,600 units.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has reported an increase of 5 per cent in its total wholesales to 65,601 units in June 2023. The company had dispatched a total of 62,351 units to dealers in June last year.
In a statement, Hyundai said that its domestic sales rose 2 per cent to 50,001 units last month from 49,001 units in the year-ago period. Similarly, its exports rose 17 per cent to 15,600 units in June this year as compared with 13,350 units in the same month last year.
HMIL COO Tarun Garg said "There is a positive customer traction for all our products and Verna, Creta, and Tucson have attained leadership positions in their respective segments in the first half of CY23."
Meanwhile, the company has announced to introduce Exter SUV in the market this month. Hyundai India has started accepting bookings for the exter SUV. Those interested in owning the upcoming Hyundai car can pre book it by paying a token amount of ₹11,000. The micro SUV can be pre-booked via Hyundai dealerships across the country.
Hyundai has revealed that the Exter micro SUV will come in 5 trim options – EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect. The SUV will be equipped with 3 powertrain options - 1.2 l Kappa Petrol engine (E20 Fuel Ready) available with 5-speed manual transmission (5MT) and Smart Auto AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) and 1.2 l Bi-fuel Kappa petrol with CNG engine equipped with 5-speed Manual transmission. The company claims that all powertrains are tuned to deliver consistent performance in diverse conditions and will ensure a delightful driving experience.
As revealed by the company, Hyundai Exter SUV will come in six single-tone and three dual-tone color options include Cosmic Blue and Ranger Khaki. The SUV’s design will be amplified with H-Signature LED DRLs, projector headlamps and sporty skid plate. It will have a unique Exter emblem on the front, highlighting the SUV’s bespoke appeal.
