Hyundai's Elantra 2019 to be launched next month, here is the first look

    Korean auto maker Hyundai Motor announced today opening of bookings for the facelift version of its premium sedan Elantra, which is slated to be launched on 03 October.

    The car maker also unveiled the first look of New 2019 Elantra, as per a release.

    The new Elantra will be having a sportier design and will have a futuristic look and come with a high tech image. The new Elantra will come with a new hexagonal grill design.

    The hexagonal grill design will give the new Elantra a more premium type look according to the company.

    The company has not said anything about the engine specifications, however it is expected that the new car will come engine that will fit in the BS-VI emission norms.

    According to media reports the car will come with 2.0 litre petrol engine . The new Hyundai Elantra will be pitched against Skoda’s Octavia and Honda Civic.

    The current version of Hyundai’s Elantra comes with 152PS of max power and 192Nm of peak torque.

    The price of the current version of Elantra starts at Rs13.82 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)

    The facelift version of Hyundai’s Elantra is expected to be a bit pricier than the current version of Elantra as it will be coming with BS-VI engine

    The country's second largest car maker- Hyundai sales in August degrew 16.58% to 38,205 units in the reporting month as compared to 45,801 units which were sold in the same month last year.
