Kinetic Green, the electric vehicle division of the Pune-based Kinetic Group, is preparing to revive the Luna model name for its upcoming electric two-wheeler. The Kinetic Luna, a beloved product in the past, will be reintroduced as the 'e Luna' and will be branded as such. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, the Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, recently announced this exciting development on social media.

Motwani has recently shared a picture of her father and founder of the Kinetic Group Arun Firodia astride the original Kinetic Luna. She wrote about the image, “A blast from the past!! “Chal Meri Luna" and it’s creator.. my father, Padmashree Mr. Arun Firodia! Watch this space for something revolutionary & exciting from Kinetic Green….u r right …it’s “e Luna!!!"

The exact specifications of the upcoming Kinetic e Luna remain unknown, but it is anticipated to be an introductory electric moped, similar to its predecessor. Production of the model is expected to take place at the Kinetic Green facility in Pune. Currently, the company operates two manufacturing plants, with the latest one inaugurated in the vicinity of Pune's Supa area. This new facility has been specifically designed to manufacture up to one million electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers annually.

Notably, the upcoming Kinetic e Luna will compete with various B2B electric two-wheelers currently available in the market. It will prioritize its load-carrying capabilities over passenger seating, featuring a versatile design to accommodate different needs. Similar to the conventional Luna model, the e Luna is expected to possess durability suitable for navigating challenging terrains. While specific details regarding the powertrain and range have not been officially disclosed, an announcement is anticipated in the following weeks.

Kinetic Green is relying on the powerful sense of nostalgia associated with the Luna, which is expected to attract customers, particularly during the initial phase. Nevertheless, the model will need to consistently demonstrate satisfactory range, performance, and reliability in order to establish a reputation for itself in the highly competitive electric vehicle market of today.
