Mahindra has announced a reduction in the waiting period for the XUV700 in Bengaluru, with the maximum waiting time now capped at 40 weeks, down from the previous wait of up to 48 weeks, reported Carwale.
In India, the Mahindra XUV700 SUV is currently on sale with a base price of Rs. 14.01 lakh (ex-showroom). The vehicle is offered in five different variants: MX, AX3, AX5, AX7, and AX7L. Buyers can choose from a range of colors including Everest White, Midnight Black, Dazzling Silver, Red Rage, and Electric Blue.
For the MX variant, which is available in both manual transmission (MT) and automatic transmission (AT), customers can expect a waiting period of around 15-16 weeks.
The AX3 variant, available in MT and AT options, has a slightly longer waiting period of approximately 12-15 weeks for the MT variant and around 40 weeks for the AT variant.
Moving up the range, the AX5 variant has a waiting period of approximately 20-24 weeks for the MT variant and 40 weeks for the AT variant. Similarly, the AX7 variant has a waiting period of around 30-32 weeks.
Lastly, the AX7L variant, which offers a longer wheelbase, has the longest waiting period among all the variants, ranging from 36-40 weeks.
As of last month, the Mahindra XUV700, available in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations, had received more than 78,000 open bookings. In April 2023, the automaker raised the prices of the XUV700 by a maximum of Rs. 71,400.
To recall, Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its flagship XUV 700 SUV in Australia. The auto manufacturer says that the launch is a key part of their global expansion strategy and signifies a new chapter for the brand in the country.
The SUV is priced from $36,990 (approx. ₹30,35,639) in Australia for the AX7 variant. The model is priced at ₹20,56,300 in India which means it costs nearly ₹10 lakh more in Australia owing to custom duties and taxes.
