The country's biggest car-maker Maruti Suzuki today launched its new mini-SUV S-Presso. The new Maruti mini-SUV is priced from in the range of range of ₹3.69 lakh to ₹4.91 lakh. S-Presso's launch comes ahead of the festive season and automakers are hoping that new products will help revive sales. S-Presso is is powered by the BS6 compliant, one litre petrol engine, with a claimed fuel efficiency of 21.7 km per litre.
Maruti said that the mini-SUV has been built afresh on 5th generation 'Heartect' platform and uses 40% high tensile steel.

S-Presso comes with both manual and auto gear shift (AGS) transmission options.
The S-Presso will be sold countrywide through the company's ARENA retail network and also be to global markets like Latin America, Africa and ASEAN over the next 3-6 months.
Maruti's new min-SUV S-Presso is the eighth model in the company's portfolio to be compliant with upcoming BS6 emission norms.
S-Presso comes with 98% localisation and the company has invested ₹640 crore on the development of the vehicle.
The mini-SUV comes with various safety features such as dual airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock-Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution), Limiters, rear parking assist system, high speed warning alert, reverse parking sensors among others.
