NEW DELHI : Maruti Suzuki revealed the new Ignis with BSVI petrol engine at the Auto Expo 2020. The company has now launched the car officially along with the prices. The new Ignis will start at a price of ₹4.89 lakh and goes all the way to ₹7.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The car gets two options in terms of transmission with the same engine. Maruti Suzuki has offered an AMT for every variant except the base version. The company is charging an extra ₹47,000 for the AMT version on all three variants.
Here’s how the Maruti Ignis 2020 is priced (ex-showroom Delhi)
Ignis Sigma- ₹4.89 lakh
Ignis Delta- ₹5.67 lakh
Ignis Delta AMT- ₹6.14 lakh
Ignis Zeta- ₹5.89 lakh
Ignis Zeta AMT- ₹6.36 lakh
Ignis Alpha- ₹6.73 lakh
Ignis Alpha AMT- ₹7.20 lakh
The new Ignis comes with Maruti Suzuki's K12 1.2-litre engine which continues to produce 83hp power and 113Nm torque. Fuel efficiency of the new Ignis also continues to be the same at 20.89kmpl.
In terms of design, the Ignis gets a new look at both front and rear. The bumpers get faux scuff plates. The company has added two new colour options in single-tone- Lucent Orange and Turquoise Blue. Buyers interested in getting dual-tone colours can get and three new colour options - Nexa Blue with black, Lucent Orange with black, and Nexa Blue with silver.
In terms of interiors, most of the dashboard has been carried over from the previous version, for the exception of the new infotainment system. Maruti Suzuki has upgraded the Ignis with its SmartPlay Studio on the 7-inch screen.
