MG Motor India has partnered with Jio Platforms to power the connected car features in the newly launched MG Comet EV. Under the partnership, MG Comet EV will offer Hinglish Voice Assistant system powered by Jio’s Digital Assets. The system comes integrated with Music Apps, payment apps, connectivity platform, and hardware.
In a statement, the auto manufacturer said that the MG Comet EV has been embedded with Hello Jio Voice Assistant which is trained to understand different regional dialects and tonality of an Indian user. The assistant comes with support for dialogs and can offer information about cricket, weather, news, horoscope and more. In addition, MG Comet EV owners can use the assistant to turn off/on the AC, play songs and ask for a cricket score.
MG Motor India says that the Comet EV also comes equipped with Jio eSIM during the manufacturing process that also plays a crucial role in improving vehicle safety. Jio’s eSIM can also identify the vehicle and encrypt communications while the vehicle is in operation.

It is a commitment to technological evolution in the automobile industry with innovation as its key pillar.”
MG Comet is offered in three variants - Pace, Play and Plus. MG Comet Pace is an entry-level model that comes with a price tag of ₹7.98 lakh. While the Play and Plus variants are priced at ₹9.28 lakh and ₹9.98 lakh respectively.
MG Comet EV is an electric hatchback that competes with the likes of Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3. The vehicle measures under three meters in length, 1,640 mm in height, and 1,505 mm in width. It rides on 12-inch steel wheels. The Comet EV's core component is a 17.3 kWh battery pack, and MG claims that it can achieve a range of 230 km. The vehicle offers three drive modes, namely Eco, Normal, and Sport.
