Mini India has announced a price hike for its entire Cooper range. The hatchback has become expensive by up to 1.60 lakh and now comes with a starting price of 41.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mini Countryman Cooper S JCW, which was originally priced at 46 lakh (ex-showroom) can now be purchased at 47.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Similarly, Mini Cooper S will now retail at 41.20 lakh (ex-showroom) up from 40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Price of Mini Cooper S (Steptronic Sport), on the other hand has gone up from 40.58 lakh (ex-showroom) to 41.78 lakh (ex-showroom). Mini Cooper SE now comes with a price tag of 52.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It was originally priced at 50.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

The carmaker has also delisted Mini Cooper Convertible and Cooper JCW models from its official website. At present, only three models are on sale in the country. These include three-door Cooper SE, three-door S, and Countryman.

Last month, new Mini Cooper SE EV was unveiled. Adopting Mini's fresh ‘simplistic’ design language, the Mini Cooper SE (also known as Mini Electric) showcases a streamlined, minimalist aesthetic characterized by fewer body lines and more rounded contours. The electric hatchback's design exudes a sense of understated elegance, aligning with the automaker's commitment to a more subdued appearance.

The electric Mini Cooper boasts a throwback design to the iconic 1960s Mini, with a prominent round headlight featuring the classic LED halo, flanked by straight lines both above and below the unit. A larger and mostly concealed grille with a clean octagonal surround further enhances the front. The sides of the vehicle retain the floating roof design but with smoother and less cluttered bodywork, devoid of any side cladding. The wheels have a cooler, dual-tone, rimless look as the aero fins disappear. The Mini Electric also surprises with its sunroof, which appears panoramic despite the car's compact size.
