Renault launches 7-seater Triber at ₹4.95 lakh: Specifications, features and seat layouts

Auto major Renault on Wednesday launched its compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) Triber in India, priced between ₹4.95 lakh and ₹6.49 lakh. The seven-seater Triber, which is less than 4 metres in length and is powered by a 1-litre petrol engine, is the second model from the company after Kwid which has been specifically designed and developed for the Indian market.
Triber, which comes equipped with various features including four airbags and flexi-seating arrangement, would bridge the gap between Kwid and company's other SUV offerings like Duster and Captur, said Renault India Operations Country CEO and MD Venkatram Mamillapallehe.
Renault is aiming to launch more products in Indian markets with an aim to double sales volume to two lakh units annually in the country within three years. Renault India also plans to double its showrooms across the country to 700 by the end of next year.
Renault Triber is powered by 1.0-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine generating 72Ps with 96Nm torque. It is paired with five-speed manual transmission. Triber comes with 4 airbags: driver, passenger, and front sides.

Triber gives the flexibility of different seating layouts, depending on the needs of the customer. The third-row seats can be clicked in or out, transforming the Triber into a 6-seater or a 7-seater instantly.
